Guest edited by Dr Barbara Read, University of Glasgow, this latest Issue explores the theme of social precarity in higher education, as seen through a spatial and/or temporal lens. Contributors to this issue explore social precarity as experienced by staff and or students: Olds, Hopkins, Lisciandro, Jones, Subramaniam, Westacott, Larsen, Sturniolo-Baker and Scobie examine the accelerated strains on enabling staff and students during the pandemic; Rowell and Morris undertake a collaborative autoethnography of class, gender and precarity in academia; and Hoskins, Moreau and McHugh explore supervisory relationships and precarity in academia. A visual contribution from Andrew Brown is woven throughout the Issue.
